Monterey County Pops Labor Day Concert 2024

The Monterey County Pops! returns to the City of Seaside with their Labor Day Concert, September 1, 2025. They will again perform on the lawn in front of iconic City Hall’s Flag Poles as an extraordinary backdrop! The day starts at 1:00 p.m. with a pre-concert performance and at 2:00 p.m. the Monterey County Pops! presents a full orchestra that will delight audiences of all ages with an engaging and memorable program of popular and patriotic music under the skilled baton of award-winning, Carl Christensen.

The program titled “Honoring Labor!” will feature vocalist Symphonie Sidhu performing the labor marching song “Bread and Roses” from 1912, vocalist Elise Rotchford performing Dolly Parton’s “Nine To Five,” and vocalist Eliodoro Vallecillo performing the traditional “De Colores.” Instrumental selections include hits from “The Wizard of Oz,” the traditional “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” and the popular light classic “Light Cavalry Overture” by von Suppé. The program will conclude with Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” and John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever March.”
