Monterey County Pops! Celebrates the USA's 250th Anniversary

Get ready to celebrate with the Monterey County Pops! as we proudly present a series of free outdoor concerts commemorating the USA's 250th anniversary!

Mark your calendars for these musical gatherings that will resonate with the rich tapestry of American music:

Memorial Day on May 25 at 2 p.m. on Monterey City Hall Lawn

Independence Day on July 4 at 2 p.m. in Devendorf Park, Carmel

Labor Day on September 7 at 2 p.m. on the Seaside City Hall Lawn

Martin Luther King Day on January 18, 2027, at the Marina City Library Lawn

We are also excited to announce that a special performance in Salinas will be revealed soon.

Monterey County Pops! is also excited to present a series of inspiring programs designed to enrich the lives of our cherished seniors and energetic young students.

Our special High School Residencies are ongoing, and in 2026, students will have the unique opportunity to interact with professional musicians in clinics, master classes, and even perform with them for a side-by-side concert to create unforgettable music magic together!

Meanwhile, the enchanting tale of “Peter and the Wolf” will come to life in Monterey County elementary schools, sparking young minds' imaginations and fostering a love for the arts.

Our “Music for Seniors” chamber music performances will bring the joy of live music directly to senior care facilities, creating moments of connection and nostalgia that resonate deeply within this vibrant community.

All of our concerts and programs not only create joyful experiences and build lasting memories that bridge generations but also highlight the transformative power of music in nurturing relationships and personal growth.
